Clover Gift Guide 2021!
Welcome to my first gift guide! I’ve put together some of my favorite products that have sparked joy in my life and have made my days a little brighter. You’ll find gifts for: him, her, kids + my personal favorite: the wellness obsessed meets foodie. I’ve included some splurge worthy gifts as well as some stocking stuffers—so there is a price range for everyone. I’m also including a few great non-profit organizations local to Milwaukee that would be a great option if you would like to consider a donation as a gift. Lastly, I’ve listed my my favorite WI-based small businesses so you can shop small and local.
If you need help finding someone a gift that you don’t see on here, please reach out as I’d love to help you—especially if it’s in the wellness/foodie section as we know this is where my heart lies. Happy shopping, friends! (Also, in the name of transparency, there are less than a handful of affiliate links in this guide for brands that I deeply believe in, use and love. This helps to compensate me for my time putting this guide together. Just an FYI and a thank you for shopping with moi!)
Gifts For Him
Whoop Membership: By now, you’ve definitely heard of Whoop. If you want a home run gift for the athlete in your life (or honestly, even the non-athlete), look no further. Whoop allows you to track your sleep/recovery/strain and SO much more. My husband said that his favorite part of his whoop is that he knows when he should push himself and when he should rest. I gave this to him last Christmas and he’s loved using it over the past year! They now have the 4.0 band, so take advantage of that new update. Definitely a splurge worthy item but the gift that keeps on giving.
Teton Gravity Research Hat: Meet the cooler, more niche version of the classic Patagonia baseball hat. I bought this for my husband while in Colorado and he loves it! (Sadly this version in the picture is sold out, but this one is a cute option too.)
Perfect Putting Mat: I’m surrounded by golfers in my life so I’ve (very slowly) gleaned a thing or two about golf toys. The golfer in your life will love this. Especially during those zoom calls when you can turn your camera off…happy putting.
Sunski Sunglasses: Sunski is an affordable, quality, polarized sunglass brand that is rooted in sustainability. Plus, they’re so classic and stylish. The Yuba style is my favorite especially in the color Caramel Ocean. This would be a great gift for any guy in your life.
Beautycoutner Counterman Exfoliating Cleanser: Guys need to wash their face too. This is a great option for the guy who loves a good “product” and enjoys taking care of his skin, but you know, in a very low key way.
Beautycoutner Facial SPF: My husband’s #1 favorite BC product. The best facial sunscreen. No white cast, works as a moisturizer. A perfect stocking stuffer item.
Cotopaxi Backpack: This is a super functional yet cool lightweight backpack—the perfect gym bag or put-all-your-stuff-in bag. It’s made from remnant fabrics so it keeps fabric out of landfills. Honestly, I’d recommend just about everything on their website, it’s such a cool brand. Check them out!
Navillus Sabalo Fishing Shorts: Cute, affordable bamboo lined shorts with a quick-drying outer fabric. Perfect for any outdoor adventure. They just launched this pretty blue color but they have lots of options. Our friends started this company and I love all of their preppy meets outdoorsy products!
Outside Magazine Subscription: Can I gift this to myself?? But really…this is such a fun magazine and who doesn’t love getting something in the mail each month? The content is 10/10.
Native Deo: The perfect little stocking stuffer: a cleaner deo! Native uses ingredients like: coconut oil, shea butter, and baking soda and never aluminum, phthalates, or talc. I love the smell of the Citrus + Herbal Musk that I linked. They have a ton of different scent options.
Lululemon ABC Pant: Another item my husband looooves. They are perfect for work, golfing, bopping around: basically everything! They come in a variety of colors too AND they have a slim and regular fitting option. Super practical yet stylish gift for the men in your life.
All Birds: The perfect comfy shoes to pair with the ABC pants?! All Birds are made from ethically made ZQ Merino wool. They’re machine washable and will keep your feet dry. There are so many fun styles but I personally think these are super classic and timeless. This style also looks cute!
Fellow Carter Move Mug: Know someone that likes coffee? All fellow products are pretty amazing. Including their electric kettle and grinder. This mug comes in 3 sizes. Form meets function!
Artifact Uprising Photo Desk Calendar: The perfect sentimental gift for Dads, Grandpas, Husbands, Boyfriends, all of the guys in your life?!
Gifts For Her
O-M Ceramic Pour Over Dripper: Know a coffee snob who likes to make her own pour overs AND loves ceramics? This is her dream gift. I have a mug and milk carafe in the polka dot print and it’s even cuter in person.
Hart Hagerty Heart Bracelet: I mean, how cute is this? Also, you can get a matching one for your little! Everything on this website is adorable.
Felix Gray Blue Light Glasses: I love these glasses in the style Alexander. I have a similar pair I bought when this company launched in a honey color like Palomino. I love mine! We all spend too much time staring at screens, slap a pair of these bad boys on and feel stylish while working.
Dagne Dover Mila Toiletry Pouch: This product just launched and I want one! It’s made from recycled plastic and polyester and the best part is that your toiletries stand upright! Perfect for the lady who loves her skincare and keeping it safe while on-the-go. There is also a smaller version.
Tula Glow + Get It Brightening Eye Balm: I. love. this. eye. balm. Truly, this makes you look awake and also doubles as a highlighter. They have a rose glow version too that’s also lovely.
Heart Huggie Earrings: Minimal, dainty huggie earrings at an affordable price. Need I say more? I wear these almost everyday. A no-brainer stocking stuffer.
Alex Mill Nico Sweater: I’ve wanted this sweater for ages! It’s the perfect, timeless sweater. Would pair so well with some light washed jeans and clogs. This fair isle sweater also is dreamy.
Bryr Chloe Closed Toe Clogs: Um, newsflash. I’m a clog pusher around here! TEAM CLOG! And guess what, they’re cool now (I mean, they always were). This is my favorite Bryr style and I adore the Agave color BUT a neutral color may be the way to go for a first pair! They form to your feet after some time and are so comfy. A splurge worthy item that will stay in a woman’s closet for years to come.
Beautycounter Cheeky Clean Cream Blush: I’m obsessed with these new refillable blushes. I have all 8 colors and have used all of them. You can wear this product as both a blush AND a lipstick, making it a double-duty gem in your makeup bag. I especially love the colors: Chai, Cider + Lychee.
Beautycounter Clean Swipe Hyaluronic Lip Balm Duo: The perfect affordable gifting set for just about any lady! I love that there’s a clear option and a rosy pink color. I love keeping one in my purse and one by my bed for chapped lips!
The Lacemakers of Glenmara Book: I read this book every year because it transports me to Ireland. It’s such a cute story and the perfect easy read to get lost in!
Facial Steamer: I recently purchased this steamer and it’s a part of my routine to avoid the Sunday scaries—hello Sunday spa night. This would be a nice gift to pair with the Beautycounter cleansing balm.
Morning Person E-mail Subscription: “Morning Person” was started by Leslie Stephens, former editor at Cashmere + Cupcakes. SO, she knows a thing or two about curating a great e-mail. Each week is a different theme and when it arrives in my inbox on Tuesday mornings, I’m always excited to devour it. The newsletter is a mix of recipes, book and podcast recs, travel guides, products, etc. Leslie is currently in grad school to become a psychologist specializing in social media addiction, so her insights into our mental health and beyond are also refreshing. A very unique gifting option that someone could enjoy throughout the year!
Gifts For Kids
Fjallraven Kanken Kid’s Backpack: The kanken backpack is a true classic. It comes in so many colors and is super functional. Designed in Sweden years ago to help distribute the right amount of weight for a kid’s back. I gifted this to my nephew and it fits all his needs as a 3-year-old for school.
Primary Snow Suit: Primary has so many great basics for babies, kids, and adults alike. I purchased this snowsuit for Baby Cayo as it was affordable and stylish. I was super impressed with the quality!
The Day the Crayons Quit Book: As a former nanny in my college days, I remember loving this book. It’s clever and fun and there’s a few books in the series. Perfect addition to a child’s book collection.
Outdoor Voices Kid’s Hat: How cute would this be on your favorite toddler??
Bobble Sweater: A very special sweater for your favorite little!
The Plant-Based Baby + Toddler Book: This is more of a gift for parents who may want their children to eat more plant-based. This research backed book, written by two RDs (who run Plant Based Juniors), came out this past May. It’s an invaluable source for teaching parents how to feed their child through the lens of a plant-based diet. Super practical advice.
Hunter Boots: A classic that every little could use! I love the yellow color for girls or boys.
Wooden Espresso Machine Toy Set: Teach em’ young! How fun would this be to gift to your favorite kid?
Weefarers Sunnies: Cute AND practical!
Pehr Play Mat: I received this play mat for Baby Cayo from a friend and it’s super cute. It isn’t obnoxiously loud and it’s the perfect size!
Wooden Play Gym: I love how simple this play gym is and how easy it would be to store away when you’re not using it! Also: major minimalist scandinavian vibes?!
Gifts For The Wellness Obsessed or Foodie
Great Jones Dutch Baby: The perfect dutch oven for making just about anything! Bread, pasta, soup, etc. I love this option for the foodie who may live alone (or even a couple) or cooks smaller portions and doesn’t need a huge dutch oven. Also, this comes in the most adorable colors! I own the pink color and am truly obsessed. They also have a larger option that is great too!
Berkey Water Filter: If you aren’t filtering your water in 2021, what are you doing people?! This is the best filter on the market. Period. Berkey’s website has a ton of size options to choose from as well!
Breville Compact Juicer: Want to make juice but not own an obnoxiously large juicer? Cue this Breville gem. Affordable, easy to clean, and perfect for the juice novice. This makes great juice!
Outdoor Voices Doing Things Baseball Hat: I always get compliments on this hat! It’s perfect for the baseball loving person in your life. Easy to wash, lightweight, fun. A cute OV addition to one’s athleisure/workout wardrobe.
Great Jones Holy Sheet Pan: Holy sheeeeet I love these pans! Fun color waves (I have the matte blue color), non-toxic, perfect for all your baking/roasting needs. Affordable. What are you waiting for? This is a foodie’s perfect sheet pan! It also comes in this fun new shiney color: raspberry.
East Fork Mug: An heirloom quality mug. I always tell people that I don’t have a china collection, I have an East Fork collection. Made in Asheville, NC, East Fork mugs often sell out when they come out with new color waves like this pink color: Rococo. This mug holds 10-12 oz. of liquid and feels so comforting to hold as you sip your morning coffee, tea, etc. Again, don’t sleep on this if you want one! They will probably sell out.
Osea Bestseller Bodycare Duo: This is perhaps the best smelling body oil in the world. I hope they never stop making it because I love it so much. This holiday set also comes with an amazing body scrub. The perfect gift for just about anyone. It’s also such a great deal as both products are full size and it’s only $60?! I had to buy one for myself…
Beautycounter Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm: A balm, a moisturizer, a body oil/lotion, a cleanser. This is the swiss army knife of Beautycounter products. With the most heavenly smell, this balm belongs in every wellness obsessed person’s skincare/bodycare toolkit.
Little Wolf Coffee Subscription: Know a coffee snob? They will love getting some freshly roasted beans from this small, niche roaster based out of Ipswich, MA. I’m a fan of their Columbian + Guatemalan varietals if you want to buy a bag of beans instead of a subscription.
Liquids Till Lunch Book: Want an easily digestible wellness book with tips that anyone could benefit from? This is it. Written by Mary Ruth Ghiyum of Mary Ruth Organics—an amazing vegan supplement brand.
Copina Co. Vanilla Plant Based Collagen + Matcha Single-Use Sticks: A plant-based collagen booster? Yes please. I love all of the Copina Co. products but these two are my favorite! The vanilla collagen is perfect for adding to baked goods, nut butters, coffee, smoothies, etc. The matcha is not too bitter and not too sweet. Use code MADDIECAYO10 for a 10% discount.
Brightland Vinegar Gift Set: A gift for the foodie in your life that would love some fancy vinegars. Their olive oils are also super special! And a work of art for your kitchen counter.
Voicing Change Book: The Rich Roll Podcast has been one of the most influential pods that has helped inspire change in my life. This book is a collection of some of the best conversations to date from the pod. This would be a wonderful gift for anyone interested in wellness in general, lifestyle change, resiliency, plant-based eating, recovery, etc. A true gem of a gift.
Holland Bowl Mill Chopping Bowl Set: This chopping bowl would be a great addition to anyone’s kitchen. It truly helps me eat more veg—dare I say it’s fun to make salads now? These wooden bowls are handmade in Michigan and take a few weeks to make, so if you want one: order ASAP!!
